Conditions of Eating Meat Slaughtered by Jews and Christians
Meat slaughtered by Jews or Christians is permissible subject to two conditions: 1. The meat is slaughtered as a Muslim does it, by cutting the throat and oesophagus and letting the blood flow. 2. No name other than that of Allah should be mentioned over it.He does not know whether the animal was slaughtered in the prescribed manner or died as a result of stunning

It is halal to eat the meat sold in stores in non-Muslim countries if it is known that it was slaughtered by Christians and Jews provided it is not known to have been slaughtered in a manner different from that which is prescribed in Shari`ah.Is Stunned Meat Halal?
If it is not easy to slaughter animals unless they have been stunned by a method that will not kill them before they are slaughtered, then it is permissible to stun them and slaughter them whilst they are still alive, in cases of necessity.He is living in a foreign country and there is no halaal meat available; is there a concession allowing him to eat non-halaal meat?
