between the muezzin and the khateeb. When the imaam was late one Friday,
the muezzin recited the iqaamah and led the people in praying Zuhr. What
should they all do, in addition to repenting?
Praise be to Allah, and blessings and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah.
We put this question to Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-‘Uthaymeen, may Allaah preserve him, who replied as follows:
This muezzin must be disciplined; the rest of the people have to repent, but they do not have to do any other prayer. And Allaah knows best.
